Google Drive aka Google Docs is a great cloud based service that allows users to create, and collaborate on-line. Users can keep documents private or share them publicly and even embed them on wiki’s or blogs. The files created can be downloaded in .docx files or can be uploaded from .docx to Google Drive. The true beauty of this interface is that in all forms of documents they can be edited, viewed, and shared by peers, synchronously or asynchronously.
Google forms allow you to create surveys and report the collected data to a spreadsheet. I have used this many times and have either embedded/posted the survey to a wiki or sent it directly to recipients I needed information from.
